Deaux Rey is the first Poodle Club of America Gold Medallion winner. Deaux Rey was one of the first pioneering standard poodles in Poodle Club of America to bring hunting abilities back to the poodle. He is the name saint to my kennel and everyone loves Deaux Rey. Not only was he the first Gold Medallion Winner, he holds a single hunting title, an obedience title and two agility titles. He is also UKC registered where he holds the title of hunting retriever. He was the first dog I ever showed and he took first place at PCA in the hunting dog class. His intelligence, kind heart and trainability has been passed down to his Get. Not only is he accomplished in competitions, he is an outstanding field dog. Anyone that ever pulled a trigger over Deaux Rey walked away with new respect for the poodle as a hunting dog.
