Puppies available occasionally to the prospective German Shorthaired Pointer owner who is looking for the "all around" dog. We strive to breed to the AKC standard and our dogs compete in AKC Conformation events, Hunt Tests, and we occasionally participate in NAVHDA events. All proposed breedings and potential sires and dams must have passed all GSPCA suggested health tests - OFA Hips, Elbows, CERF (eyes), cardiac and Cone Degeneration (heriditary eye test). We are lucky to have owned generations of AKC Champions, and now starting on several proven dogs in the field - ranging from grouse/woodcock hunting dogs in the northwoods to pheasants and quail in the plains.

My dog was an active show dog and was kept in great condition the entire time. I didnt get back a skinny, uncared for dog who was able to go to a dog show immediately after 12 weeks of training. She put the senior title on my dog during this time and helped with general obedience. Jessica gets the importance of conditioning for the field and show ring, allowing my dog to be at the top of his game and go from the field to the ring without any delay.

Adopted an older dog from Jessica. She came fully vetted, spayed, e collar conditioned, and a great hunting dog. Had her three weeks before we went to the game farm and Faith cleared the field with solid work. Looking forward to many years with our new dog. Jessica has been available the whole time to answer questions and to remind me to be patient with the transition to a new home. Highly recommend!

Just bought a puppy from Jessica a month ago. We have started him with her help on birds. Such a smart and talented puppy with a great bombproof personality. Highly recommend!

Jessica helped me put a Junior title on my dog. After helping me train her, she recommended I run her myself. We passed our test and got the title. I got an amazing hunting dog out of the deal and now I will always train and compete with my dogs for fun in the off season. Plus, Nola loved Jess!

I brought my problem child to Jessica. Purchased as a started dog from a different well known trainer in Kansas, and turns out she was horribly gun shy. Jessica had her for 6 weeks this past summer and this week I took her out for a preserve hunt before our opener this week. Not only is she cured but shes an amazing and confident dog now. I would highly recommend Suma Kennels for any training for any type of dog!

Jessica is an excellent trainer and top notch facility. She loves the dogs and loves what she does and it shows! Their GSPs are fabulous all round dogs and mine have excelled in the field and the show/performance rings also. Highly recommend!

Bought a pup from Jessica 3 years ago. Best house dog and best hunting dog Ive owned. Jessica is always there for us when we have a question. Looking forward to getting our second GSP from her in the next year or so.
