Do not do business with this person. I would give negative stars if I could. I purchased a puppy from Longmeadow kennels for $1800 and a week after picking him up he was dying on my livingroom floor. The puppy was diagnosed with a genetic condition called puppy strangles. This was documented by the vet bills and notes and the fact that he suffered from this condition was never contested by anyone. He eventually recovered after several months and well over $1000 of vet bills. I assumed because the purchase included a health guarantee that most or all of the costs for treatment would be covered. This turned out not to be the case. Laura told me her 'vet group' was trying to determine how this could happen and to wait. Her 'vet group' doesn't exist, it's just google searches. She tried to have me exchange dogs which I declined as my family had already bonded with the puppy and I had already spent north of $600 on vet bills anyway. She then begrudgingly agreed to refund me $600 for the costs of treatment, which I agreed to just to put the whole miserable experience behind me. She told me she would give me the money when she sells her next litter sometime between Christmas and New Years. I didn't like that but she once told me over the phone that she is poor and can't afford to give refunds so I decided to wait and see. So now it's time to collect my refund and she is a ghost. I've sent several emails and absolutely no response. Now I have have to try and recover what I can through the Pennsylvania puppy mill laws they passed in 2008. Nightmare! Stay away. Oh and the puppy tested positive for giardia the day after i brought him home too. Which she tried to blame on me. I'm sure there are respectable breeders in the area but this is not one of them.
