My name is Steve Shaver. We train retrievers for field trials, hunt tests and hunting companions. Hunting got me into retrievers, but once I learned what these amazing animals were capable of I just couldn't get enough . I have been training my own hunting dogs for over 30 years and have been running field trials and hunt tests for 12 years. I've also been training professionally for the last 5 years. Initially I started running hunt tests, and then expanded into field trials. Since getting involved in the retriever games my dogs have become ten times better gun dogs than they ever were previously.
